Marinade
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 soy sauce
- 1-2 tsp sesame oil
- 2-3 cloves garlic
- Dissolve 1/3 cup sugar in 1/2 cup soy sauce and 1-2 tsp sesame oil
- Add 2-3 cloves grated garlic and 1 tbsp grated ginger.
Chicken
Marinate chicken in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Remove from marinade and fry in 1/2 tbsp oil per chicken piece. Brown on each side, add marinade and simmer while covered till cooked through. If chicken is skinless, remove from marinade, then reduce to a glaze.
Serve over rice.
Notes:
Don’t use chicken breasts for this, they come out dry as hell. Thighs with the skin and bone in are optimal.
